Dr Sarma has handled increasingly senior positions in during his career has extensively handled product design, process design and establishment of green field projects for Lead Acid batteries. He was instrumental in setting up plants in Himachal Pradesh and MC battery plant in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Presently he offer his services as an independent consultant to the industry and has worked with major clients in streamlining the manufacturing process, product design for deep discharge batteries for Invertors and E-Rickshaw, VRLA batteries for Motor cycle and Industrial and setting up of manufacturing plant for Lead Acid batteries.
Dr Sarma has received his PhD from Indian institute of Technology, Chennai and worked in various battery manufacturing companies HBL, Tudor India, Okaya and Enersys.
During his research career he has published more than twenty research publications in various international journals. Dr Sarma was listed in 19th Edition of Marquis 'Worlds Who`s Who
